Full Description

Tenzi ProDetailing T1 Titanium is a long-lasting paint coating whose durability comes from the hardness of titanium particles. It goes on over T1 Activator for maximum efficiency, and Tenzi says the pair gives outstanding durability, resistance to chemicals and a great look to the paint.

We sell the 50ml kit: T1 Titanium and T1 Activator with an applicator and cloths. Spread the activator on clean, degreased paint and leave it about 30 minutes, then lay a thin coat of T1 on one section at a time, let it bond for 5 to 10 minutes and buff to a high gloss. Up to 3 layers can go on, at least 3 hours apart, over one coat of activator.

A coating is only as good as the paint under it, so T1 belongs at the end of a full prep: a clean, degreased finish with old coatings removed. Tenzi builds its durability on titanium particles and pairs it with an activator, which it says maximises the protection, with increased resistance to chemicals and a great look to the paint.

The process is careful rather than hard. Activator first, then thin layers of T1 one section at a time, each left 5 to 10 minutes and buffed gently. Up to 3 layers can build on one activator coat, and Tenzi asks for 12 to 24 hours dry and warm after the last one.

How To Use

Prepare the paint

  1. Wash and decontaminate the car, then work indoors at 18 to 24 degrees Celsius.
  2. Degrease the paint and remove any old coatings.
  3. Make sure the panels are clean and cool, never hot or in direct sunlight.
  4. Wear thin rubber gloves.

Activator then coating

  1. Put a few drops of T1 Activator on the applicator wrapped in a small cloth and spread it evenly.
  2. Wipe gently with a microfibre cloth and leave it about 30 minutes.
  3. Apply a thin, even layer of T1 Titanium to one section with the applicator wrapped in another cloth.
  4. Leave it 5 to 10 minutes to bond, then buff to a high gloss without pressing.
  5. Move to the next section. For extra layers, wait at least 3 hours between them.
  6. Leave the car 12 to 24 hours somewhere dry and warm after the last layer.

Top Tip: Hang a towel over the drying coat: if it slides easily, wait a few minutes until the surface starts to slow it, then buff.

Tenzi wash, wheels and exterior care

Pre-wash and wash. APC Out (also 5L) is a concentrated pre-wash that loosens the heaviest dirt, tar and oily marks before the hand wash. Pink Snow Foam is a pH 7, cherry scented foam that Tenzi makes without phosphates and rates safe on paint and coatings, and Insect Remover softens bug splatter on a cool car. The Detailer Car Shampoo makes a thick foam at 50 to 75ml per 10 litres in soft water, or 75 to 100ml in hard water. Quartz Shampoo leaves a quartz layer as you wash, foams less by design, and each wash adds to the layer.

Wheels and tyres. Clean Rim is the everyday wheel cleaner, safe on paint and tyres: spread it over the wheel, leave it about a minute and rinse under pressure. Bleeding Rim and Cherry Bleeding Rim are pH neutral gels for aluminium, chrome and enamelled wheels that turn red as they meet iron and brake dust. Prix is a 5L, ready to use iron remover for paint and wheels: give it three to five minutes and do not let it dry. Seal clean wheels with R1 Rim, a ceramic coating for painted, polished and chrome wheels that resists braking heat, and finish tyres and trim with Tire and Plastic Dressing for a wet look.

Engine bay and bikes. Clean Engine is an active foam that lifts oil and road grime and is harmless to gaskets. Motorplast then dresses metal, plastic and rubber with a hydrophobic, antistatic layer; it goes on wet or dry parts, needs no wiping and dries in a few hours. The Bike Cleaner cleans every part of a bicycle or motorcycle, and Mud Off is a ready to use, pH 11 cleaner for bikes, quads and off-road machines: wear gloves and eye protection.

Tenzi coatings, protection and interior

Ceramic coatings. Q7 Crystal is Tenzi's established quartz paint coating, and Q10 Flexi combines hardness with flexibility for more damage resistance; both come as 50ml kits. T1 Titanium is a 50ml titanium coating laid over T1 Activator, and Quartz Coat is a kit of 100ml coating and 100ml IPA Cleaner, applied indoors at 18 to 25°C. GX Glass is the 50ml glass coating. Prepare paint with IPA Cleaner and Clay Spray, and top a coating up with SLS Quartz Cream Reloader, which Tenzi rates at four to six months.

Sprays and waxes. Quartz Spray works on dry or wet paint and windows, and P14 Si is buffed off a dry car or rinsed off a wet one. Wet Wax goes on wet paint straight after washing and helps the car dry, adding liquid quartz to the paint and glass. Diamond Gloss Ceramic Wax blends quartz ceramic with carnauba, rated by Tenzi at up to 12 months, in a 300ml box with applicator and cloth. Also the Carnauba Spray, Quick Shine, which lifts water marks and is harmless to waxes, and Car Shine in 5L, spread on and left to dry with no polishing.

Interior and glass. Clean Cockpit cleans heavily soiled plastics and Matte Cockpit Dressing keeps them matt and antistatic. Clean Leather suits natural and artificial leather, worked in with the horsehair Leather Brush, and Clean Upholstery lifts stains from seats, carpets and headlinings. APC In is a 1L concentrate for leather, plastics and textiles, at 100ml per litre of water for leather and wood, or 200ml for stains. For glass there are Clean Glass, ready to use Top Glass GT and anti-fog Top Glass Premium GT. The wooden Precise Detailing Brushes come in 15mm for vents and badges, 21mm and 29mm for wheels and larger areas.
