Expert Notes

The Triplewax Microfibre Cloth is made for general detailing jobs. Fold it into quarters, use it dry or with your detailing product, wipe with light pressure and turn to a clean face often. Store it clean and dry, and keep it out of reach of children. The Drivers HQ stocks a wider range of Triplewax car care products. Wash it with other microfibres only, with no fabric softener, and keep cloths for dirty jobs apart from those for paint.

  • Dashboards
  • Wheels
  • Door shuts

Caution: Keep cloths used on wheels and dirty jobs apart from those used on paint, and never use one that has touched the ground on paint. Keep it out of reach of children.

The Brand

Triplewax

Triplewax is a car shampoo and polish brand from Tetrosyl with more than 40 years of heritage. The range has since been modernised and widened to cover exterior cleaning, wheel care, interior cleaning and even caravans, all built around fast, convenient car care, and many of its products use waterborne technology to cut out or reduce solvents. Every product is tested in Tetrosyl's own on-site lab.

At The Drivers HQ we stock the Triplewax Microfibre Cloth online with UK delivery and in our Ilkeston shop, with our other buffing and finishing towels.

TRIPLEWAX MICROFIBRE CLOTH - The Drivers HQ

The Triplewax Microfibre Cloth

One cloth, in and out. A green, 100% polyester microfibre cloth made for use inside and outside the car, sold on a Triplewax header card marked Microfibre Cloth, Super Absorbent.

Soft and absorbent. The microfibre is super soft and highly absorbent, and it will not scratch the surfaces you use it on, so it suits wiping down glass, dashboards, door shuts, wheels and paintwork.

Keep a few. Microfibre is cheap enough to keep separate cloths for separate jobs: one for glass, one for the interior, one for wheels and one for paint, so grime from one job is never dragged onto another.

Triplewax Diamond range: Caravan Shine, Waterless Wash, Tyre Shine, Vortex Blast and Wash and Wax

Looking after microfibre

Washing. Wash microfibre cloths on their own or with other microfibre, at a low to medium temperature, with no fabric softener. Softener clogs the fibres and stops them picking up dust and water.

Drying. Air dry them, or tumble dry on low, and store them somewhere clean and dry so they do not pick up grit.

When to retire one. A cloth that feels stiff or has been used on very dirty wheels or engine bays is best kept for those jobs and not used on paint again.

Using it. Fold the cloth in four so you have eight clean faces, and turn to a fresh face as each one fills.
