Detailing Swabs & Sticks

Detailing swabs and sticks for the gaps a brush or cloth cannot reach: air vents, badges, emblems, switches, seams and mouldings, inside the car and out. Foam and microfibre tips lift dust and old wax or polish residue, and coating swabs lay sealant into small areas. We carry swab packs from Maxshine, ChemicalWorkz and KDN and our own extra long microfibre detailing sticks.

How to choose

• Mixed packs: the Maxshine Detailing Swabs 10 pack has five designs with foam or microfibre tips, handle lengths and head shapes, and Maxshine uses them to remove wax and polish from badges and side mouldings. The ChemicalWorkz Detailing Swabs set is also 10 swabs in 5 designs for vents and emblems.
• Applying coatings: ChemicalWorkz Coating Swabs have a fixed foam tip on a 9.5cm handle for working sealant into small, hard-to-reach areas.
• Extra reach: our Microfibre Detailing Sticks have a long, slim handle and an ultra-soft microfibre head for deep vents, trim gaps and crevices.

Good to know

• Keep one swab for dry dusting and another for product, so residue is not pushed back into the gap.
• Spray cleaner or dressing onto the swab, not into vents or around switches and electrics.
• Rinse reusable foam and microfibre tips after use and let them dry before the next job.

What are detailing swabs used for?

Detailing swabs clean and dress the smallest areas of a car: inside air vents, around badges and emblems, along seams and mouldings and between buttons and switches. Use a dry tip for dust, a damp one with cleaner for grime, and a coating swab to apply sealant to tight spots.
