To use this product with a snow foam lance use 100ml of snow foam with every 500ml of water. Adjust the feed rate to alter the thickness of foam required. Spray Linntec Sweet Apple snow foam on the area to be cleaned, leave to dwell for 5 minutes and rinse off.

Linntec

Linntec is a family-owned car care company in West Yorkshire, founded in the early 2000s by motoring enthusiast Ron Linn. Originally from Dundee, Ron moved to Yorkshire with his young family and worked in engineering. On holiday in the USA he spotted some new detailing products, tried a few on his own car back home and was so impressed that he placed his first import order of a few cases the same week. Starting with one man and one brand, the team has grown over 20 years, and the Linntec Professional Car Care label now covers its own scented snow foams.

Linntec snow foams

Three scents. Blueberry Blast, Satsuma Orange and Sweet Apple come in black 5 litre cans with the Linntec Professional Car Care label, colour-coded blue, orange and green.

What the label says. Each foam removes dirt before you shampoo, has a pH neutral formula that will not strip wax, produces a thick clinging snow foam and is safe on all surfaces and finishes. Because it is pH neutral, it suits a car that already has a layer of wax or polish.

Dilution. Linntec's directions are 100ml of snow foam to every 500ml of water in the snow foam lance bottle, then adjust the lance feed to make the foam thicker or thinner.

Using it. Spray the foam over the area to be cleaned, leave it to dwell for 5 minutes and rinse it off before the contact wash. Work on a cool panel out of strong sun so the foam does not dry on the paint.

The Linntec 6 in 1 nozzle and how Linntec began

6 in 1 nozzle. The 6 in 1 Adjustable Spray Nozzle fits a stubby nose foam gun with a quick connection and gives six spray settings on one dial: 0+, 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° and Soap. Instead of swapping nozzles, you turn the dial to the pattern the job needs, whether that is spot cleaning, rinsing or snow foaming.

Choosing a setting. The wider the angle, the gentler the spray: 40° suits rinsing paintwork, 25° heavier dirt on wheels and arches, and 0° is a pinpoint jet to keep away from paint and trim. Use the Soap setting for low-pressure application.

How Linntec began. Back from the USA, Ron offered his first imported products to a local car accessory shop to sell, and that was the start of Linntec. It says it is still an independent family-owned business, now importing products from around the world with weekly container shipments. Ron's love of cars and racing has passed down two more generations, and his grandchildren now race karts.
