The Rupes Blue Wool Polishing Pad, Coarse, 130mm, is a dense wool pad for dual action polishers, aimed at detailers removing severe paint defects.

The D-A COARSE wool polishing pads, designed for dual action tools, are specifically crafted for effectively removing severe paint defects. The coarse wool pad’s blue foam is both more rigid and dense, enhancing the transfer of tool movement to the work surface and thereby increasing cutting power.

Cutting

  1. Fix it centrally to the backing plate or adapter the pack gives.
  2. Prime the wool with a little compound.
  3. Work at the speed the compound gives, keeping the pad flat.
  4. Brush out the wool between panels.

Afterwards

  1. Refine the paint with a finishing polish on a foam pad.
  2. Wash the pad after use and let it dry.
  3. Store it clean and dry.
  4. Replace it when the wool mats or sheds.

Top Tip: Brushing the wool between panels keeps the fibres open so the pad cuts evenly.
