chemicalworkz

chemicalworkz is a German brand of car care accessories that sums itself up with the tagline .clean .care .coat. It is run by Dukano GbR, which also operates the waschguru.de car care shop. Its range covers wash mitts, sponges and drying aids, clay, applicators and swabs, brushes, microfibre cloths, polishing pads and machine polishers, through to wash buckets, trolleys, storage and other workshop equipment for detailers.

The Drivers HQ stocks chemicalworkz across the wash and decontamination stages. For the contact wash there is the Chenille Wash Mitt in blue, green, orange and red, the Viscose Wash Pad in grey and a tyre brush, with the Green Microfibre Magnetic Stripes for drying. Decontamination is covered by the Magic Clay Bar 2x 50g in Fine and Medium grades and the Clay Sponge, and for the finishing details there are Coating Swabs (5 Pack) and Detailing Swabs (10 Pack).

chemicalworkz suits enthusiasts building up a proper wash kit and detailers who want the right tool for each step. A typical routine starts with a pre-wash, then a two bucket contact wash with a chenille mitt or wash pad, and a tyre brush for the sidewalls. Once the paint is clean, a clay bar or clay sponge used with a clay lubricant lifts bonded contamination before polishing or protection, and swabs let you clean vents and emblems or apply a coating in tight areas.

Buy chemicalworkz from The Drivers HQ with tracked UK-wide delivery, or call in at our walk-in store in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, where Click & Collect is free. Whether you need a spare wash mitt, a fresh clay bar or a set of swabs for interior detailing, you can combine chemicalworkz accessories with shampoos, clay lubricants and the rest of your car care essentials in a single order.

Clean, Care and Coat

Clean, Care and Coat

The brand's tagline is .clean .care .coat. On its English language brand page, chemicalworkz describes itself as an expert in high-quality car care and innovative car care accessories, and says it offers more than just conventional accessories, from professional microfibre cloths to specialised brushes, to make a car care routine more efficient.

Under the heading Why chemicalworkz, the brand lists top quality, innovation and environmental consciousness. It says its products undergo rigorous quality controls, that it continuously develops new products to enhance the car care experience, and that it is committed to sustainable production processes and eco-friendly packaging. It also says it aims to offer a comprehensive range of self-developed products for car care.

Behind the brand is Dukano GbR, the operator of the waschguru.de car care shop, which sells and ships chemicalworkz products in Germany. Outside Germany, the brand works with distributors through what it calls a global partner network.

Wash, Clay and Detailing Tools

Wash, Clay and Detailing Tools

The wash tools are at the heart of the range stocked here. chemicalworkz describes the Chenille Wash Mitt as the ideal companion for washing a car by hand, with micro chenille microfibre that lifts dirt well, and The Drivers HQ stocks it in blue, green, orange and red. The Wash Pad, which the shop stocks in grey, is made from viscose microfibre with a density of 1400GSM, and the Magnetic Stripes are drying strips with embedded magnets that hold securely to the car.

For decontamination, the Magic Clay Bar comes as 2x 50g bars in Fine or Medium, and the brand says it is for paint, glass and smooth surfaces, giving a thorough yet gentle clean. The Clay Sponge uses what chemicalworkz calls polymer technology to remove dirt and deposits from the paint surface while staying easy to handle.

The detailing tools reach where a mitt cannot. The brand's Detailing Swabs set has 10 swabs in 5 designs for dust and dirt in air vents, emblems and hard to reach areas, while its Coating Swabs have a soft, tapered tip and a grippy plastic handle for precise application of sealants on wheels, grilles and interior details.
