Expert Notes

Angelwax Absolution is a carpet and upholstery cleaner for car interiors, manufactured in the UK with a surfactant-based formula. Angelwax says it lifts dirt, grease, food stains, mud and odours from fabric seats, carpets, floor mats and interior fabric trim without leaving sticky residue. The 500ml bottle is ready to use with a trigger sprayer and needs no rinsing: spray, let it dwell briefly, agitate with a soft interior brush or microfibre cloth, then wipe away residue with a damp cloth or an extraction machine. It fits the interior stage of a valet after a thorough vacuum and suits both routine upkeep and deeper cleans. Pair it with a soft interior brush, clean microfibre cloths and a fabric protector once the fabric is dry.

Perfect For / Suitable Surfaces

  • Vehicle carpets
  • Floor mats
  • Upholstery

Frequently Asked Questions

What can Angelwax Absolution be used on?

Angelwax Absolution is made for automotive interior fabrics, including fabric seats, vehicle carpets, floor mats, upholstery and interior fabric trim. Test on a small hidden area first.

Is it ready to use?

Yes, the 500ml bottle is sold ready to use with a trigger sprayer, so you spray it straight onto the fabric. For the 5L size, follow the directions on the container.

Do I need to rinse it out?

No rinsing is needed. After agitating, wipe away the residue with a clean damp cloth, or use an extraction machine where appropriate.

What stains does it remove?

Angelwax says Absolution lifts dirt, grease, food stains, mud and everyday grime, and removes odours from interior fabrics. Old or set-in marks may need more than one treatment.

Will it leave the seats sticky?

No, Angelwax states Absolution cleans without leaving sticky residue behind. Let the fabric dry fully before the seats are used.

What sizes are available?

Angelwax Absolution is available in 500ml and 5L. The larger size suits valeters and frequent interior cleaning.

What should I use with it?

Use a vacuum before and after, and a soft interior brush or microfibre cloth to agitate. A fabric protector can be applied once the fabric is clean and fully dry.

Where can I buy Angelwax Absolution?

Angelwax Absolution is available from The Drivers HQ with UK-wide delivery, or visit our walk-in store in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

HQ Suggests Tips & Insights

  1. Vacuum thoroughly first so loose grit is not worked into the fibres.
  2. Test on a small hidden area before treating a whole seat.
  3. Use a soft interior brush to avoid fuzzing the fabric pile.
  4. Avoid soaking the fabric, as light even coverage dries quicker.
  5. Wipe residue away with a clean damp microfibre cloth after agitating.
  6. Use an extraction machine on heavily soiled carpets where available.
  7. Let seats and carpets dry fully before the car is used.
  8. Order with UK-wide delivery from The Drivers HQ.

The Brand

Angelwax

Angelwax is a car detailing brand that describes its team as innovators, chemists and perfectionists, with over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry behind its formulas. According to the brand, all of its products are designed, formulated and manufactured at its headquarters in Paisley, Scotland. Its range covers the whole detailing process, from exterior wash and decontamination products to wheel cleaners, interior cleaners, polishes and compounds, hand-poured waxes and ceramic coatings for both professional and consumer use. Angelwax also produces a nautical care range for boats and has a network of certified installers for its professional coatings.

The Drivers HQ stocks Angelwax with car waxes at its centre. Dark Angel is a hand-poured wax made for black and dark paintwork, and for matte paint there are Luminosity Matte Wax and Luminosity QED, a matte quick detailing spray. Stripped-Ease removes old wax before a fresh coat, Vision cleans the glass, and the AnGel Plastic & Interior Dressing looks after the cabin.

Angelwax suits enthusiasts who enjoy a hands-on wax routine. Stripped-Ease takes old wax off the paint, a wax such as Dark Angel then adds gloss and protection, and owners of matte paint can use Luminosity Matte Wax and QED instead. Vision for the glass and AnGel for the interior plastics complete the job inside and out.

Buy Angelwax from The Drivers HQ with UK-wide delivery, sent tracked with Royal Mail, or use free Click & Collect from our walk-in store in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Whether you are replacing a favourite wax or adding matte or interior care to your kit, you can combine Angelwax with the rest of your detailing and car care essentials in a single order, and build a routine that covers every stage from the first rinse to the final buff.

AngelWax Bilberry RTU – Superior Automotive Wheel Cleaner - The Drivers HQ

Designed and Made in Scotland

Angelwax describes itself as more than just another detailing brand. In its own words, the people behind it are innovators, chemists and perfectionists with over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry, who have spent years developing and refining their range of detailing products. The brand says every formula is crafted with precision and tested across the globe.

All Angelwax products are designed, formulated and manufactured at the brand's global headquarters in Scotland, which it lists at the Airlink Industrial Estate in Paisley. Several of its product descriptions refer to formulas developed in-house at its UK laboratory, including the Cleanliness pre-wash and Blue Rinse. Alongside its Scottish base, the brand also lists a European distribution centre and a distribution office and warehouse in the USA.

Formulation #1 has a long history with the brand. Angelwax says it was the very first detailing wax the brand developed, and that it has remained a favourite with enthusiasts and professional detailers since its original launch in 2009. Scent is part of the brand's character too, as its tagline Heaven Scent, Wicked Finish suggests: Dark Angel carries a chocolate fragrance, and the brand says its bilberry fragrance was made famous within its detailing range.

AngelWax Dark Angel - 250ml - The Drivers HQ

Waxes, Wheel Care and Wash Essentials

Waxes are at the heart of the Angelwax range. Formulation #1 is a carnauba detailing wax that the brand says is hand-poured in small batches from natural waxes and oils, delivers a deep wet-look gloss and needs only a thin application layer. Dark Angel was developed specifically for black and dark-coloured vehicles, blended with natural waxes and conditioning oils to enrich dark paint tones and help reduce the appearance of light swirls and wash marks.

The Bilberry name runs through the brand's wheel care. Bilberry wheel cleaner is a non-acidic formula for removing brake dust and road grime, and Angelwax describes it as safe for all wheel types, including painted, lacquered and powder-coated finishes. Bilberry Wheel Wax then adds a protective barrier against brake dust and road grime to help keep wheels cleaner for longer, and the same bilberry fragrance is available as a hanging air freshener.

For the wash, Angelwax says FastFoam produces a thick foam that clings to the car to loosen dirt and traffic film before contact washing, and that it is safe for waxes, sealants and ceramic coatings when used correctly. Inside the car, Absolution is made for seats, carpets, floor mats and fabric trim, Heaven for Leather is a pH-neutral cleaner for leather upholstery, and Excelsior cleans canvas, mohair, cloth and vinyl soft tops.
