Mixed at 100 to 150ml in a 1L foam lance and topped up with deionised water, it produces a rich, stable foam that lifts dirt and grime from exterior surfaces without stripping sealant or wax protection, and the formula is biodegradable. We use it as the first stage of a safe wash: pre-rinse, foam from top to bottom, leave it for 5 minutes without letting it dry, then rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer before a two bucket contact wash. How To Use

Application

  1. Rinse your vehicle first to loosen any dirt.
  2. Add 100 to 150ml of Pre Soak+ to a 1L foam lance and top up with 900ml of deionised water.
  3. Apply the foam from the top of the vehicle to the bottom.
  4. Allow it to dwell for 5 minutes without letting it dry.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer.
  6. Move on to a two bucket contact wash.

Aftercare

  1. Flush the foam lance through with clean water after use.
  2. Check the lance filter and nozzle if the foam becomes thin.
  3. For lightly soiled cars, dilute Pre Soak+ further as Car-Chem suggests.
  4. Rinse any dried foam marks from glass and mirrors before drying.
  5. Store the bottle sealed, upright and away from frost.

Top Tip: Measure the concentrate with a jug each time so the foam strength stays consistent from wash to wash.

Pre-wash. Pre Soak+ Snow Foam is a highly foaming, biodegradable pre-wash that gives a rich, stable foam at a very high dilution and lifts dirt and grime without stripping sealant or wax. Total Clean Traffic Film Remover is the stronger road film cleaner for traffic film, dead bugs and bird droppings on paint, wheels, glass and trim, diluted from 10:1 to 100:1 depending on the job.

Shampoo. 1900:1 Shampoo takes its name from its dilution ratio. Car-Chem calls it an award-winning formula that cuts through dirt, grime and road film while keeping waxes, sealants and ceramic coatings intact, with lubricants and long-lasting suds that help keep marring down.

Wheels and all-purpose. Clean Wheels is an acid-based spray cleaner for most alloy, chrome, painted and plastic-trimmed wheels, used neat on heavy soiling or diluted 3:1, then brushed and rinsed. Citrus Clean is an all purpose cleaner for almost anything inside and outside the car, from carpet stains to wheel arches.

Before protection. Prep Panel Wipe removes oils and silicones to leave a streak-free surface ready for last stage protection.

Car-Chem waxes, detailers, glass and interior

Waxes. Sapphire Ceramic Wax is a 100g SiO2 based ceramic wax from Car-Chem's in-house technical team, blending SiO2 with carnauba, montan and bees waxes and natural fruit oils, for protection and water beading with a traditional hand application; avoid driving for 24 hours after. Connoisseur Carnauba Wax protects against contamination while adding to the paint's natural gloss, goes on wheels too, and hazes in 5 to 10 minutes before buffing.

Between washes. Hydro Quick Detailer adds gloss and a microscopically thin hydrophobic sealant layer through polymer technology, and also works as a spray sealant straight after washing.

Glass. Pre Icer is a glass coating that goes on a dry windscreen before a frost and stays on, to stop ice settling. Screen Wash Water Resistant is a concentrated screen wash additive, used at 10:1, that leaves a hydrophobic barrier so rain beads and runs off.

Interior. Interior Clean Coat cleans and dresses in one pass with an applemint scent and a satin finish. HIDE Leather Cream feeds and moisturises leather for a deep, rich satin finish, and Refresh targets the bacteria behind bad smells and leaves a fragrance that lasts for weeks.
