  • Chest: around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, keeping the tape level.
  • Bust: around the fullest part.
  • Waist: around your natural waistline. Bend to one side to find it.
  • Hips: with your feet together, around the fullest part.
  • Children: measure height without shoes, standing straight with feet together.

2. Length Measure from the highest point of the shoulder, beside the collar, straight down to the hem.

The Brand

Shelby

Shelby is the name of Carroll Shelby, whom Shelby American describes as an American automotive designer, racing driver and entrepreneur known for his involvement with the AC Cobra and later with Mustang-based performance cars built in partnership with Ford. In 1962 he created Shelby American to build his Cobra in California, and the company moved to its current headquarters just off the Las Vegas strip in late 2013. Shelby says he is still the only individual to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans as a driver, team manager and manufacturer.

SHELBY PERFORMANCE RACING T-SHIRT - MILITARY GREEN - The Drivers HQ

From Le Mans to Shelby American

Shelby's own history begins with Carroll Shelby the racing driver. Born in 1923 in Leesburg, in East Texas, he won his first race in 1952 in an MG-TC, was invited to join the Aston Martin factory team in 1954, and in 1959 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans driving an Aston Martin. A heart condition caused him to retire from racing in 1960.

Shelby wondered why no one in the United States built a sports car with European handling and balance and an American V-8 engine. When AC Cars in Great Britain lost the engine supplier for its Bristol sports car, he took the idea to AC and then to Ford, and in 1962 he created Shelby American to build the Cobra in California. On 4 July 1965 the Cobra won the World Manufacturers' GT Championship, and Shelby says Shelby American is the only American vehicle manufacturer to win it.

At the request of Ford's Lee Iacocca, Shelby turned the Mustang into the 1965 Shelby Mustang GT350, with the GT500 added in 1967, and by 1966 the Shelby American Ford GT programme was winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Carroll Shelby passed away on 11 May 2012. Shelby American moved to its current headquarters just off the Las Vegas strip in late 2013, and its modern line-up covers performance Mustangs and trucks.

Cobra Graphics for Car Culture Fans

The cobra has been part of the Shelby story since Carroll Shelby chose the name for his car. Shelby says the name came to him in a dream, and the Cobra went on to beat the Corvette in North America, winning races coast to coast, before taking the World Manufacturers' GT Championship.
