Mothers NuLens Headlight Renewal Kit powers through oxidation on plastic headlight lenses to restore clarity and function. With an electric drill, Mothers NuLens Headlight Renewal Kit polishes headlights and other hard plastics. In minutes, you can take years off the appearance of weathered headlights.

Mothers PowerBall 4 Lights

Mothers PowerBall 4 Lights is a foam ball that attaches to your electric drill. Instead of polishing small surfaces by hand, you can get them done faster and with better results with the PowerBall. This patent-pending detailing tool is made of professional grade foam that is soft and highly absorbent. It polishes out oxidation, scratches, and discoloration to restore a smooth, clean surface. The PowerBall 4 Lights attaches via hook and loop to the included drill backing plate. The spherical shape of the Mothers PowerBall 4 Lights allows you to use all sides when polishing in case one area becomes soiled. Unlike flat pads, you get more surface area and can therefore complete the job faster. Keep turning the foam ball to use a clean surface. The foam tabs that compose the ball are able to move over alignment dowels (small bumps on the lens cover) without ripping or snagging.

5 Restoration Pads

The Mothers NuLens Headlight Renewal Kit includes five single-sided sanding pads. These pads are designed to be used on severely oxidized headlight lens covers if the Powerball and PowerPlastic did not achieve satisfactory results. One pad is 800 coarse grit. The second pad is 1500 fine grit. The third pad is 3000 grit. Start with the least aggressive pad that will be effective on the plastic. Then use finer and finer pads until you achieve a very finely scuffed surface that feels almost smooth.

Next you'll use the Mothers PowerBall 4 Lights to restore smoothness and clarity to the lens cover. With all the options in Mothers Powerball 4 Lights Lens Restoration Kit, you will be equipped to restore just about any plastic headlight or taillight. Mothers PowerPlastic Plastic Polish PowerPlastic features a special blend of oxidation-inhibiting polymers, UV shields and an ultra-fine polish that work in unison to clean and clarify your headlights, taillights, convertible top windows and more. When used in combination with a PowerBall and your electric drill, PowerPlastic removes oxidation and surface scratches with ease, and it leaves a transparent coating to protect plastics. Use Mothers NuLens Headlight Renewal Kit to polish out light oxidation and mild swirls on all hard plastic headlight lens covers and other hard plastic surfaces. The Mothers NuLens Headlight Renewal Kit works with a standard electric drill. No polisher is needed to get great results! How To Use

Restoring

  1. Wash and dry the lens, and mask off the paint around it.
  2. Attach the PowerBall to your drill with the backing plate.
  3. Polish with PowerPlastic, keeping the ball moving.
  4. Use the sanding pads only on heavy oxidation, coarse to fine, then polish again.

Afterwards

  1. Wipe the lens clean and check it.
  2. Remove the masking tape.
  3. Clean the PowerBall as Mothers directs.
  4. Store the polish upright, out of sunlight.

Top Tip: Starting with the polish and ball, and sanding only if needed, removes the least plastic from the lens.

Mothers metal polish, CMX ceramics and Power tools

Metal polish. Mag & Aluminium Polish is the product Mothers started with, for bare aluminium wheels and parts, brass, alloys and other bare metal; its polishing agent is alumina. Work it back and forth, then wipe it off while it is still wet. It is for polishable bare metal, not for coated or painted wheels.

Power tools for metal. The Power range turns a household drill into a polisher. The PowerBall 2 has an elongated ball for a larger polishing area, the PowerBall Mini comes with a 10in Quick Swap Bit extension for tight spots on wheels, diamond plate, light lenses and engine parts, and the PowerCone 360 has a spherical cone, a Quick Swap Bit and a built-in wheel guard. The NuLens Headlight Renewal Kit also runs on a drill, removing oxidation from plastic headlight lenses.

CMX ceramics. CMX Ceramic Spray Coating (710ml) is a spray-on, wipe-off SiO2 and TiO2 protection, on its own or to top up an existing coating. CMX Ceramic Wash & Coat (1,419ml) washes and adds SiO2 protection in one, and CMX Ceramic Trim Restore & Coat darkens and protects unpainted rubber, plastic and vinyl.

Clay. Speed Clay 2.0 is a rubber polymer clay tool that removes overspray, water spots, fresh tree sap, rail dust and bird droppings from paint.
