Full Description

The ShineMate Green Foam Heavy Cut Pad cuts like a wool pad but leaves a high gloss finish.

This Green Heavy Cut foam has a solid construction, and quickly removes deep scratches, overspray, 1200/1500 sanding disc marks, and heavy oxidation.

It can be used on scratch resistant and high solid ceramic paints.

These are replacement pads for the ShineMate 1.2 inch Rotary Backing Plate. The actual pad size is 1.6 inch to allow a slight overlap for the 1.2 inch Backing Plate to ensure safe polishing. These will also fit onto other mini or micro polishers.

How To Use

Polishing

  1. Centre the pad on a backing plate of the right size.
  2. Prime the face with a little product, as the product directs.
  3. Spread at low speed, then work at the speed the product gives.
  4. Keep the pad flat on the panel.
  5. Clean the pad between panels with a pad brush or a clean microfibre.

Afterwards

  1. Wash the pad after use.
  2. Let it air dry before storing.
  3. Store it clean and dry in a sealed bag or box.
  4. Replace it when the foam tears or the backing wears.

Top Tip: Priming the face with a little product before starting stops a dry pad marring the paint.
