The Stjarnagloss Fuel Can in GT3 Shark Blue is a limited edition jerry can, finished in a colour made for Porsche 911 (992) GT3 owners and filled with a full Stjarnagloss detailing kit, from pre-wash to wax:

How To Use

Application

  1. Pre-wash with Snö snow foam and Först citrus pre-wash, then rinse.
  2. Wash with Bubblor shampoo using a clean wash mitt.
  3. Remove tar and bug marks with Tjära.
  4. Polish the paintwork with Skära.
  5. Dress tyres and trim with Gummi.

Aftercare

The Brand

Stjarnagloss

Stjärnagloss (usually typed Stjarnagloss) is a British car care brand owned by Dodo Juice Ltd, the Essex company that also makes Dodo Juice. The brand was relaunched in 2019 with a small, reformulated range, and every product has a short Scandinavian-style name that tells you its job: Snö is the snow foam, Bubblor the shampoo, Hjul the wheel cleaner, Glas the glass cleaner and Inni the interior cleaner.

The range is small. There is one main product for each stage of a wash, from pre-wash to protection, plus stronger X versions for heavy dirt, and the products are made to be used together. That makes Stjarnagloss easy to pick if you wash your own car at the weekend and want a complete routine without working through dozens of similar bottles.

The Stjarnagloss range, stage by stage

Pre-wash. Först is a citrus pre-wash (traffic film remover) for the dirtiest areas, usually the lower half and back of the car. Först X is the concentrate, made with surfactants, solvents and natural orange oil: mixed 50/50 with water it makes standard Först, so 1 litre makes 2 litres. Snö is a thick pH-neutral snow foam that is mild enough for waxed, sealed and coated cars, and Snö X combines the cleaning power of Först with the dwell time of Snö for heavier dirt, at about 50ml in a 1-litre lance bottle.

Wash. Bubblor is a pH-neutral shampoo with no gloss enhancers and limescale inhibitors to reduce water spots. It suits gloss, satin and matt paint and will not strip an existing wax or sealant. For matt paint and wraps there is Matta matt shampoo and Mörk, a quick detailer that keeps a matt finish matt.

Wheels and decontamination. Hjul is a thick colour-changing wheel cleaner that contains soap for road grime, an iron remover for brake dust and solvents for tar spots, and it doubles as a fallout remover on paintwork. Tjära removes tar, glue and bug residue with natural orange oil as its active ingredient.

Protect. Glatt is a water-repellent rinse aid that adds shine, helps water and dirt run off and makes the next wash easier; use it one panel at a time. Glö is Glatt and Snö in one: you foam the car after the contact wash and rinse, and it leaves paint and glass beading. For longer-lasting protection use Pärla spray sealant, or Glasyr, a glaze that fills minor swirls and then seals the paint with the same sealant technology as Pärla. Skära is a gloss-enhancing polish, and Silke is a high-gloss quick detailer for a final touch of gloss after washing.

Glass, tyres and interior. Glas cleans glass without streaks, Gummi dresses tyres and trim with a satin sheen, and Inni cleans hard and soft surfaces inside the car. The range also includes air fresheners, from the Roots, Angel and Jerry hanging cards to the Skönhet and Stekare sprays.

Our Stjarnagloss wash routine

Starting from scratch? This is the routine we recommend with the Stjarnagloss range, and it covers everything most cars need:

  • Spray Först on the lower panels, let it work for a few minutes without drying, then rinse with a pressure washer.
  • Foam the whole car with Snö, let it dwell, then rinse.
  • Clean the wheels with Hjul, then wash the paint with Bubblor using two buckets with grit guards.
  • Foam the car again with Glö (start with 100ml in a 1-litre lance bottle), rinse, and dry with a drying towel.
  • Finish with Glas on the windows and Gummi on the tyres.

After every use of Glö, run a litre of clean water through your snow foam lance, because sealant foams can block the lance filter. On a ceramic-coated car, use Först X at 50/50 or weaker with a short dwell time, and avoid it on a freshly applied coating.

Stjarnagloss and Dodo Juice come from the same company, so the two ranges mix well if you already use Dodo Juice products.
