AUTOGLYM POLAR BLAST 2.5L - The Drivers HQ

Eight treatments. Autoglym started small, with eight car care treatments made to bring tired bodywork and wheels back to life. Radiant Wax Polish kept the brand in front of British drivers, and in the 1970s Autoglym spread quickly across Europe.

Buses, coaches and trains. In the 1990s Autoglym set up a division for public transport vehicles, keeping buses, coaches and trains clean day and night. In the same decade it received two Royal Warrants of Appointment, from HRH The Queen Mother and from HRH The Prince of Wales.

High Definition Wax. Years of work in Autoglym's laboratory produced High Definition Wax, and the brand's name for long lasting gloss brought a third Royal Warrant, from Her Majesty The Queen.

Made in Letchworth. Autoglym develops, tests and makes its products in its own laboratories, test facilities and production sites, with a factory sized to supply the UK and more than 45 other countries.

About Autoglym

Autoglym is a British car care brand that has been making cleaning, polishing and protection products since 1965. Every bottle starts in Letchworth, where Autoglym runs the whole process at its UK headquarters, from the first idea through design and development to production, and its products now sell in more than 45 countries. The range began with just eight car care treatments and grew through Radiant Wax Polish and High Definition Wax.

Using Polar Blast and the Snow Foam Lance

Polar Blast. A thick, high cling, pH neutral snow foam that loosens dirt and heavy soiling before you touch the paint. Because it is pH neutral it does not strip waxes or sealants already on the car, and Autoglym says it is safe on matt and satin paint.

Mixing it. A good starting point is 100ml of Polar Blast to 500ml of water in the foam bottle. It works anywhere from neat to 1 part Polar Blast to 10 parts water, and Autoglym has been very happy with it at 1:5. Adjust the foam gun for thicker or thinner foam.

Foaming the car. Check the bodywork and wheels are cool and out of direct sunlight. Foam the car, let Polar Blast dwell for up to 10 minutes without letting it dry, then rinse thoroughly from the bottom up. Do not agitate a pre-wash; follow it with a contact wash.

The lance. Its connector fits Karcher K Series pressure washers. Screw the foam gun head onto the wide neck bottle, turn the dial to set the foam and the nozzle to change the spray pattern, and flush it through with clean water when you finish. More in snow foam lances.
