Introducing the Infinity Wax P-15 DA Polisher

For the past 5 or so years, we have been selling machines from various brands. Also repairing and servicing them in the process. Seeing the internal workings of cheap machines and expensive branded units from Rupes and Flex gives you a good understanding of what makes something superior.

So when it came to having our own machine made we knew where to start! Taking ergonomic styling queues from the Rupes machines but power delivery ideas from other machines we arrived here. So let's look at the spec:

  • 810w motor delivering up to 11.87 Nm torque @ 4800 rpm
  • Anti-stall clutch system for consistent contour cutting
  • 10M InvinciCable (pro only) 9M Rubber Cable (SE)
  • Customisable cable colour (coming soon)
  • Dual race eccentric shaft bearing for ultra-smooth running
  • Speed controller with PEC eliminator to prevent machine damage

Straight away you will notice the super-smooth power delivery which inspires confidence in a first time user as well as being a welcome change for the daily use professional. The 5" standard backing plate is designed to accommodate all polishing pads up to 5.5" and is also commonly interchangeable with other branded machine parts.

The 810w motor ensures you always have the power you need to safely correct even in contoured or tight areas where other machines can bog down or stall. The professionals will highly appreciate the 10M armoured cable which is near impossible to break! A common failure point on Rupes machines these days.

P-15 SE vs P-15 PRO

In essence, both machines are very similar, however, the Pro benefits from our unique InvinciCable which is a 10M armoured flex. This ensures with frequent professional use there are no broken or damaged cables stopping you from working. The Cable is designed with 5 layers of protection and is actually similar to cables used on power tools in offshore oil platforms due to the safety requirements in these environments. It cannot be accidentally cut or crushed, it is abrasion resistant and has an internal aluminium braid that can withstand almost anything you can throw at it! The cable flex is also clear allowing you to inspect it for damage much easier.

Which Pads?

All P-15 machines use a 5-inch backing plate, this means any 5' or 5.5' pad is suitable. Our new range of pads are perfectly suited to this machine due to their low profile which creates improved stability and control on a dual-action machine like the P-15.

From Garage Experiments to UK Production

Infinity Wax says it began in 2014 as the weekend pursuit of its founder, Michael Cipriani, whom the brand describes as an automotive enthusiast with a chemist's precision and a detailer's eye. What started in a garage as hands-on experimentation produced early blends for fellow car lovers who wanted performance without complication. According to the brand, the idea was to make car care accessible, effective and safe in a sector long split between products for professionals only and retail friendly ones.

By 2015, the brand says, word had outgrown the workshop and Infinity Wax opened its first laboratory and retail space in Newbridge, near Edinburgh. It describes the space as part innovation hub and part clubhouse for enthusiasts, and as the proving ground for new ideas, new coatings and launches such as Rapid Detailer, where products were tested, debated and refined.

Today Infinity Wax describes its formulas as lab-developed and real-world tested. It states that all of its products are made in the UK and manufactured in its own facility, giving it full control over formulation, quality and supply standards. The brand also focuses on concentrated formulations and modern ingredient technologies, including renewable, plant-derived components where appropriate, an approach it says reduces environmental impact through lower dilution and packaging requirements.

Infinity Wax Citrus Pre-Wash - The Drivers HQ

Concentrated Cleaners and Easy Protection

Several Infinity Wax cleaners are supplied as concentrates. Citrus Pre-Wash is designed to be diluted and sprayed on before washing, and the brand says it is made from biodegradable, non-caustic detergents combined with natural orange oil, and is safe on wax and coatings. Incinerate Wheel Cleaner is an acid-free, alkaline cleaner designed for contactless or deep cleaning of wheels and tyres, and APX All Purpose Cleaner is a water-based concentrate with no solvents, oils or silicones.

For protection, Infinity Wax describes Express Sealant as an SiO2 sealant that can be sprayed onto a wet, clean vehicle and rinsed away, or applied through a snow foam lance, which it says is useful for large vehicles such as vans and motorhomes. Diablo PTFE Wax is suggested for winter use, track cars and high use vehicles, while the brand calls Graphene Wax the easiest to apply and remove wax it has ever made, yet one of its most durable.

Glass and interiors are covered too. Diamond Vision is an SiO2 siloxane based glass sealant that the brand says improves driving clarity in the rain and at night, and it bonds without the need for acids. Inside the car, Fresh Interior is an anti-bacterial cleaner for fabric seats, carpets and hard surfaces, though not leather or suede, and Finale Interior Dressing leaves a matte, anti-static finish on plastics and trim that helps prevent dust building up.
