About the range
Decontamination
Decontamination removes what a wash leaves stuck to the car: iron fallout from brake dust, tar spots, baked-on insects, water spots and the rough film you can feel on a clean panel. The range runs from fallout removers such as CarPro IronX and Autobead Iron Fallout Remover to clay, clay lube and panel wipes.
How to choose
- Match the remover to the mark: Iron & Fallout Removers for brake dust and orange specks, Tar & Glue Removers for tar spots and sticker residue, Insect & Bug Removers for the front end, and Water Spot Removers for marks left by hard water.
- Clay Bars lift whatever is still bonded after the chemicals; always use them with Clay Lubricants.
- Panel Wipe & IPA strips oils and polish residue so a sealant or coating can bond to bare paint.
Good to know
- Chemicals first, clay second: the less contamination left on the paint, the less the clay drags and marks it.
- Clay and tar removers strip old wax, so protect the paint straight after, or polish first if the clay has left light marks.
How do I decontaminate my car paint?
After a wash, use the chemicals first: an iron fallout remover for brake dust and a tar remover for tar spots. Then clay whatever is still bonded, with plenty of lube, and protect the paint straight after, because clay and tar removers strip old wax.
