Full Description

Sonax PROFILINE Cut+Finish is a single-stage, highly abrasive polish for quickly removing defects such as nibs, spray paint mist and sanding marks after refinishing. It combines high cut with a good degree of gloss.

It removes sanding marks of P1500 grit or finer, can be worked for a long time and wipes off cleanly. It is silicone free and low dusting. Use it on a variable-speed rotary polisher with a hard or medium foam pad, or on an orbital machine where the scratches allow or the sanding marks are P2000 or finer. Depending on the colour, finish to a perfect high gloss with Sonax PROFILINE Perfect Finish.

Cut+Finish is built for the job after a paint repair: nibs, spray paint mist and sanding marks down to P1500. Sonax pairs a high cut with a good degree of gloss, so on many colours one stage is enough, and its long working time and clean wipe off make it easy to control.

Use a hard or medium foam pad on a variable-speed rotary polisher, start with the machine slightly tilted and then keep the pad flat in several short cycles. Darker colours may need a final pass with Perfect Finish for a perfect high gloss.

How To Use

Prepare

  1. Wash and dry the paint and mask the trim.
  2. If needed, sand with P1500 grit or finer.
  3. Fit a hard or medium foam pad to a variable-speed rotary polisher.

Polish

  1. Apply a small amount of polish to the pad.
  2. Tilt the machine slightly at first, then keep the pad flat.
  3. Polish in several short cycles, especially on fresh paint.
  4. Wipe off the residue with a soft microfibre cloth.
  5. Finish with Sonax PROFILINE Perfect Finish if the colour needs a higher gloss.

Top Tip: On fresh paint, Sonax polishes in several short cycles so the panel does not overheat.
