Sonax XTREME Tyre Gloss Gel gives every type of car tyre a deep, shiny black wet look. The gel formula cares for the rubber and protects it against cracking and colour fading, and Sonax says the finish lasts for several weeks.
The Drivers HQ
A gel dressing works differently from a spray. It goes on with a sponge, so you place the product on the sidewall by hand instead of spraying it, and you build the shine by adding layers. Sonax rates this one for a deep black wet look that lasts for several weeks and says a bottle covers at least 50 tyres.
It is a care product as well as a finish. Sonax says the formula maintains the rubber and protects it against cracking and colour fading, which is why it is worth reapplying when the gloss starts to fade.
Caution: Do not apply it to the tread, the brakes or the floor, and do not use it on motorbike or bicycle tyres.
Top Tip: Apply one thin layer first and repeat only where you want more gloss, as Sonax suggests.
