It is designed for enthusiasts, mobile detailers and professionals who want proper ceramic coating behaviour without moving straight into a more demanding coating process. The 2.0 formula is built around easier application across a wide temperature range, with CarPro stating tested use from 10°C to 50°C. Once correctly applied to clean, prepared paintwork, it gives a deep gloss, slick hydrophobic finish and resistance to chemicals, UV damage and environmental fallout. This is still a real coating, so preparation matters. Wash, decontaminate, polish where needed, wipe down correctly and work in controlled sections so every area is levelled properly before curing.

Do not apply to dirty, oily or contaminated surfaces. Avoid matte paint, satin paint, textured plastics, rubber trim, unpainted plastics, fabric, leather, glass and unknown sensitive finishes unless suitability has been confirmed by the manufacturer. Any high spots must be removed during application.

Paint preparation

  1. Wash the vehicle thoroughly.
  2. Remove iron contamination where required.
  3. Remove tar contamination where required.
  4. Clay the paint if bonded contamination remains.
  5. Polish the paint if defects need correcting.
  6. Remove polishing oils and residue with a suitable panel wipe.
  7. Make sure the surface is clean, cool and dry.
  8. Inspect the paint under strong lighting before coating.

Application setup

  1. Work in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Wear suitable gloves during application.
  3. Do not smoke during application.
  4. Shake CQUARTZ Lite 2.0 before use.
  5. Open the bottle carefully and point it away from your face.
  6. Use a supplied applicator.
  7. Complete a small test section first if you have not used ceramic coatings before.

Coating application

  1. Apply product to the applicator.
  2. Spread CQUARTZ Lite 2.0 across a small paint section.
  3. Use overlapping passes for even coverage.
  4. Keep the layer thin and consistent.
  5. Move panel by panel around the vehicle.
  6. Do not apply to trims, rubber or unconfirmed surfaces.
  7. Watch the coating flash under good lighting.
  8. Wipe off residue within the correct window.

Levelling and wipe-off

  1. In most climates, remove residue within 5 to 30 minutes.
  2. In higher heat or direct sun, keep the wipe-off time shorter.
  3. Use clean microfibre towels for residue removal.
  4. Check the panel from multiple angles.
  5. Remove high spots before they cure.
  6. Do not reuse coating wipe-off towels on paint after initial use.
  7. Do not reuse used coating applicators.

Optional second coat

  1. Apply a second coat only if required.
  2. Apply the second coat within 45 to 60 minutes from the start of the first coat.
  3. Keep the second coat thin and even.
  4. Level and wipe off carefully.
  5. Check all panels under strong lighting.

After application

  1. Keep the surface dry for at least 1 hour.
  2. Gently remove any water during the first 24 hours.
  3. Avoid detergents and chemicals for 5 days where possible.
  4. Allow the coating to cure before heavy washing.
  5. Maintain with suitable CarPro wash and maintenance products.

Top Tip: Do not rush the preparation. CQUARTZ Lite 2.0 is easier to apply than many coatings, but it still needs clean, decontaminated and oil-free paintwork to bond properly.
