Full Description

CarPro Descale is an acidic car shampoo made for tough dirt, hard water and built-up contamination. It breaks down the deposits that reduce gloss and clog the surface of neglected paint and coatings, and CarPro says it safely restores ceramic coating properties.

Like other CarPro products it works in a full circle: to remove waxes and sealants, prepare paint for polishing, degrease afterwards, or remove traffic film and minerals in regular washes on coated and non-coated cars. Dilute 1:100 in a bucket or 1:10 in a foam sprayer. Sizes: 500ml, 1L and 4L.

Descale is the wash to reach for when a coated car has lost its beading to mineral build-up. CarPro US says that if minerals are the cause, Descale brings the beading back, and it will not strip a coating.

It is an as-needed wash rather than a weekly one. CarPro US recommends Reset for weekly washes and Descale when water spots are the problem, with Spotless for targeted spots between washes.

CarPro US explains that minerals clog the surface and raise its surface tension, so water and dirt no longer shed as easily. Descale frees the coating from those deposits.

How To Use

Light contamination

  1. Dilute 1:10 in a foam sprayer.
  2. Foam the car and leave it as long as possible without letting it dry.
  3. Rinse, then follow with a hand wash.

Heavier contamination

  1. Dilute 1:100 in a bucket.
  2. Wash panel by panel, starting with the horizontal panels.
  3. Let Descale dwell on each panel as long as possible without drying, and repeat if necessary.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Top Tip: Use Descale as needed for water spots and mineral build-up, and Reset for regular weekly washes.
