Koch-Chemie Micro Cut & Finish P3.01 is a micro-polishing compound with carnauba wax, aimed at detailers wanting permanent defect removal with a built-in seal.

Micro Cut & Finish is the latest generation machine micro-polish for the permanent removal of streaks, holograms, fine scratches and sanding marks to P3000 grain size on all paint systems (including scratch-resistant) with simultaneous long-term sealing with high degree of gloss and smoothness. Holograms and fine scratches are eliminated mechanically and not, which is often the case, covered over. Micro Cut & Finish is economical, easy to polish and to remove. Contains carnauba wax and non-fugitive silicones.

Koch-Chemie Micro Cut & Finish P3.01 is a finishing and protection polish for paintwork that needs refinement rather than heavy correction. It mechanically removes holograms, fine scratches, polishing marks and sanding haze up to P3000, instead of just covering them. The finish is especially useful on dark and sensitive colours where leftover haze or holograms show easily under strong lighting. Unlike Micro Cut M3.02, P3.01 also contains carnauba wax and non-fugitive silicones, giving the paint a sealed, smooth and glossy finish after polishing. This makes it a strong option for one-step enhancement work, final vehicle presentation and used car preparation, but it is not the correct choice before ceramic coating unless the surface is fully panel wiped afterwards.

How To Use

Paintwork preparation

  1. Wash the vehicle thoroughly.
  2. Remove bonded contamination where required.
  3. Dry the paintwork completely.
  4. Inspect holograms, fine scratches and sanding haze under suitable lighting.
  5. Correct heavier defects first if required.
  6. Make sure the paint is cool before polishing.
  7. Shake the bottle before use.

Machine polishing

  1. Use a Koch-Chemie Micro Cut Pad.
  2. Moisten new or dried pads completely with polish before use.
  3. Apply Micro Cut & Finish P3.01 evenly to the working area with the machine switched off.
  4. Polish in a crosswise pattern.
  5. Use medium pressure during the correction stage.
  6. Reduce to low pressure for final finishing.
  7. Keep the pad moving evenly across the panel.
  8. Remove polish residue with a clean microfibre cloth.
  9. Inspect the finish under strong lighting.

After polishing

  1. Do not use the same pad with other polishes or compounds.
  2. Keep P3.01 pads separate from coating preparation pads.
  3. Panel wipe thoroughly if applying a ceramic coating afterwards.
  4. Apply further protection only if required.
  5. Store the bottle away from frost and excessive heat.

Koch-Chemie began in Germany in 1968 when trained carpenter Hans Koch started developing his own polishing compounds after becoming dissatisfied with the vehicle care products available at the time. His interest in surface finishing became the foundation of the company, with the first Koch-Chemie products moving into serial production during the 1970s.
