Full Description

Rupes XC-2 Xtra Cut Compound is a rapid-cut compound for gelcoat, high-solid industrial finishes and hard paint, aimed at detailers and industrial finishers needing fast defect removal.

XC-2 XTRA CUT COMPOUND is universally compatible with all machine movement types, including dual action and rotary polishers. This new compound is specially formulated for a rapid removal of defects from gelcoat and other high-solid industrial finishes, countertops, hard paint, and in the aviation industry. It can be used as a first step after sanding process or to remove oxidation and other contaminants.

How To Use

Correcting

  1. Wash, decontaminate and dry the paint first.
  2. Mask off rubber and plastic trim.
  3. Apply a few small drops to a clean pad, as the bottle directs.
  4. Spread at low speed, then work it in at the speed the bottle gives.
  5. Wipe the residue off with a clean, soft microfibre.

Afterwards

  1. Inspect the panel under a good light.
  2. Refine with a finishing polish.
  3. Protect the paint with a wax, sealant or coating.
  4. Clean the pad between panels.

Top Tip: A few small drops on a primed pad cut better than a large blob, which only slings and dusts.
