Restore Cutting Compound is a premium high abrasive machine polishing paste offering the latest technology in heavy cut abrasives. A very sharp and homogeneous paste with diminishing abrasives produces a high cutting action and leaves a excellent even finish ready for refinement. Ideal for cutting badly weathered clearcoat and heavy paint defects, severe swirl marks, deeper scratches and can effectively remove up to 1500 grit sanding marks .

The NEW Autobrite Direct "Correct-it" range has been designed specifically for use on modern ceramic and scratch-resistant clear coats, they have also proven themselves to be ideal for use on harder (German) clear coats in situations where maximum levels of paint correction are required to correct paint defects. Easily identified colour coded pads and compounds make paint correction a piece of cake. Restore is best used in conjunction with an Orange DA Correct IT pad for heavy swirling, scratches and paint defects and all modern paint finishes including hard German clear coat.

How To Use

Application

  1. Wash, decontaminate and dry the paintwork so no grit is left on the surface.
  2. Mask grilles, badges, trim and sharp edges that the machine could damage.
  3. Prime a new orange Correct It pad with extra Restore before the first section.
  4. Work an area of about 15 x 15 inches, starting at low speed to spread the compound.
  5. Raise to working speed and polish until the haze begins to clear, watching panel temperature.
  6. Buff off the residue with a soft pile microfibre towel and inspect the correction.

Aftercare

  1. Wipe the panel with an IPA panel prep to remove polishing oils and see the true finish.
  2. Refine the finish with a finer polish and softer pad where haze or marring remains.
  3. Protect the corrected paint with a sealant, wax or coating.
  4. Clean the pad face during the job and wash pads thoroughly after use.
  5. Store the bottle sealed and upright, away from frost and direct heat.

Top Tip: Start with the least aggressive pad and polish that removes the defect, and use Restore only where heavy correction is needed.
